Granite Hearth empowers communities by building the skills and connections that help people thrive socially, professionally, and personally. Our research shows that limited STEM exposure, declining in-person engagement, and digital literacy gaps stand in the way of these opportunities. To drive change, Granite Hearth focuses on the following strategic areas:
STEM Growth
STEM exposure builds critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills that prepare individuals for success in a rapidly changing workforce. Granite Hearth is committed to increasing access to meaningful STEM learning opportunities, especially for youth in rural communities. Our programs are grounded in research-informed practices to maximize their effectiveness and long-term impact.
Face-to-Face Fun
Young people thrive when they have regular opportunities for face-to-face interaction that build social skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Granite Hearth expands access to enriching in-person experiences, such as youth sports and community activities that strengthen relationships and deepen community connections.
Tech Skills
The hearth once brought people together; today, many of our connections happen through digital spaces. For rural and low-income families, gaps in access and skills can limit full participation in this digital world. Granite Hearth helps bridge this divide by providing digital tools, cultivating digital skills, and creating opportunities for connection across communities.
